The biggest tennis tournaments are called Grand Slams, these events feature the best players and largest prize pools:

US Open. The Slam of North America is played at Flushing Meadows in Queens, New York City on Hard court. The 2022 US Open will run from August 29 to September 11.
Australian Open. The Grand Slam of Australasia takes place at Melbourne Park every January on Hard Court. The 2023 Australian Open is scheduled for January 16-29.
French Open. The French Open is played at Roland Garros in Paris on Clay courts. The 2023 French Open is scheduled for May 28 - June 11.

Tennis Odds & Best Bets

Head-to-Head. The overall winner of the match between the two players/teams.
Game/Set Handicap. Also known as ‘Line or spread betting’, it’s essentially when the bookie handicaps and gives better odds than the Head-to-Head market. For example, if you see Djokovic -2.5 sets, that means if Djokovic wins the match minus the line (so in 5 sets), then the bet results as a win.
Correct score. Pick the correct set score or the overall match score. For example, Nadal to win the 1st set 6-3.
Set winner. You can pick how many sets a player will win or if a player won’t win any in the match. For example, Kyrgios to win 3-0.
Total games over/under. Pick the total number of games a player will win in the overall match. For example, Nick Kyrgios to win over 16.5 games.
To win a set. Pick a player to just win a set, they don’t have to win the overall match.

Tennis Betting Tips

Form. Check your pick’s recent results. Plus, their performances at that particular event in previous years.
Match up. Some players match up differently against others regardless of ranking, court type or tournament, so check their Head-to-Head record.
Ranking. A player’s ranking is probably the easiest way to gauge their form and ability over fellow-ranked players.
Court type. There are 3 main types of court surfaces in tennis, they being Hard Court, Clay and Grass. Know who plays best on what. For example, Novak Djokovic is a master on Hard Courts, while Rafael Nadal dominates on Clay.

Australian Open Odds & Format

The Australian Open is played over 2 weeks on Hard Courts in late January during the Australian Summer.

The odds for the Australian Open are typically displayed on the website once the complete draw has been released. However, throughout the year offers futures odds on the Australian open winner. So you can pick a winner while the odds are more favourable.

The first Grand Slam of the calendar year, The Australian Open features Men’s and Women’s Singles and Doubles, plus Mixed Doubles. The 2022 winners include, Rafael Nadal (Mens), Ash Barty (Womens), Nick Kyrgios and Thanasi Kakkinakis (Men’s Doubles), and Barbora Krejcikova and Katerina Siniakova (Women’s Doubles).
