Rare Atom v Bilibili Gaming

Bilibili Gaming (2.60)

Even though Rare Atom are in solid form, having split their first two series of the new spring season, Bilibili Gaming are a decent outfit. They have enough depth and quality in their roster to be able to put consistent performances together for a long enough period this season. They have started with one win in three matches, which has left them well below their desired 50% win record they will need to have any chance of making the playoffs. Rare Atom were blanked in their opening game against Top Esports. Although they have a distinct advantage in this game, the extra payout for Bilibili Gaming is quite compelling.

Personnel

Meteor and Aiming have been splendid to open the new spring season, averaging 4.5 and 3.75 kills respectively so far. That kill production will be important to create some penetration in the lanes considering how quickly maps move forward in the LPL. Zeka and Biubiu have also chipped in with 2.75 kills per map respectively, which has benefited the team immensely.

Edward Gaming v JD Gaming

JD Gaming (1.69)

JD Gaming have been middling this season, winning just one of two matches so far. Edward Gaming have been in excellent form, having won all three matches to date in spring. However, Edward Gaming are probably due a loss after starting rapidly, particularly in the lanes with their kill output. Over 2020, JD Gaming was more consistent, which meant that they made the playoffs far more easily in both splits. This might go to three maps quite easily but I’d back JD to eventually come away with their second win of the season.

Personnel

Loken has been the standout performer for JD Gaming this season, averaging 5.5 kills per game. Even though he has just over three assists per map, his kill efficiency has more than made up for some early inconsistency. Kanavi and Zoom have chipped in admirably too, putting up 2.5 and 2.25 kills per game respectively.
