FunPlus Phoenix have confirmed the acquisition of GODSENT's CS:GO roster
Rumours have finally been put to rest as FunPlus Phoenix have officially announced the acquisition of GODSENT’s CS:GO roster. The team includes Jesse “zehN” Linjala, Pavle “Maden” Bošković, Martin “STYKO” Styk, Asger “Farlig” Jensen and coach Jonatan “Devilwalk” Lundberg, who have all put pen-to-paper to a three-year deal with the Chinese organisation.
The final spot on the team has yet to be announced, but a report by PolishLeaks suggest that Chris “chrisJ” de Jong could be about to sign with FunPlus Phoenix after he was dropped by the mousesports organisation last week.
FunPlus Phoenix first declared their intention of signing a CS:GO roster more than ten months ago, plans that came to a screeching halt after a deal with the current Heroic roster fell through. After a long and grueling period of negotiations, they have finally secured a CS:GO roster.
“It was a very long and bumpy road in the past three months, but (almost) all the dots finally aligned. I’m very proud and happy to announce that we have officially signed former @GODSENTgg CSGO Roster.” FunPlus Phoenix’s General Manager, Petar “peca” Marković, said in a statement. “We have set some serious and high goals for this roster and I’m sure that the boys have got what it takes to become the best.”
