A spot in the FLASHPOINT finals will be up for grabs today as fnatic take on Virtus.pro. We break down that match alongside the lower-bracket final between OG and MIBR.
fnatic (1.95) / fnatic +1.5 (1.30)
fnatic take on Virtus.pro to decide who moves on to the grand final of Flashpoint Season 2. Virtus.pro have been amazing recently, but I expect fnatic to be a difficult opponent for them. This is because Virtus.pro perma-ban Nuke, giving fnatic the option of banning Dust2 to force Virtus.pro into a spot where they have to pick between Vertigo or Mirage. This is great for fnatic, who generally have to fight an uphill battle against most opponents due to how weak they are on Dust2 and Nuke. We have seen the odds on fnatic drop a bit from their opening line, so it isn’t as good of a play anymore. However, it is still well worth considering, either on the money line or on the handicap due to how likely it is that they win at least a map in this series.
OG Map 2 (1.68)
This is a tough match to call between two pretty unpredictable teams. However, if there is one thing that is consistent it is OG’s Inferno. They have won four straight on this map, and it has always been a great map for them. MIBR on the other hand, have looked far from exceptional on this map with a 40% win rate so far. OG absolutely destroyed them on Inferno in the group stage by a score of 16-4, and assuming that the teams stick to their usual bans, I would expect them to pick it again. If they do, OG will be in a great spot to win their map choice.
