We break down some of today's games in BLAST Premier Fall and ESEA MDL.
NiP Map 2 (1.52) or C9 Map 1 +2.5 (1.85)
Cloud9 have had a rough start with their new roster, bombing out of the BLAST Regular Season without winning a map. So far, Nuke has been their best map in the pool and they actually took OG to OT on this map. They also left Dust2 open against Virtus.pro, so that would be a good pick for them in case NiP were to ban Nuke. They will have a decent shot on either of these maps due to how bad NiP are on these two maps. With that said, NiP are a significant favourite on their map choice. Both Vertigo and Mirage are solid picks for them, and considering how poor Cloud9 have looked so far you would expect NiP to take it.
sAw +1.5 (1.44)
sAw are coming in as the underdog in this matchup with Sprout despite the fact that they swept them the last time around. Sprout looked absolutely terrible against Complexity in the BLAST Fall Showdown, but there is obviously a difference in class between a team like sAw and Complexity. With that said, the Portuguese have shown that they are more than capable of upsets and considering that Sprout have looked a bit shaky recently, I like their chances of taking at least a map in this series.
Over 2.5 Maps (1.91) or MIBR +1.5 (1.37)
MIBR have been surprisingly good so far with their new roster, taking maps against some excellent competition. However, they have yet to actually win against a top side. Nuke has been a great map for them so far, and I would expect them to pick it here. FaZe on the other side will likely go for either Dust2 or Inferno. MIBR have shown that they are more than capable on Dust2, so Inferno may be a better choice on paper. However, Dust2 is more of a comfort pick for FaZe so I would not be surprised if they pick it. Regardless of how you slice it, MIBR will have a decent shot looking at how the veto is likely going to play out, making the over and the map handicap decent options.
