Wildcard Gaming v LFO

Wildcard Gaming (1.44)

The first important consideration for this bet is that Wildcard Gaming have undoubtedly been the best team in the Six Masters so far. That is evident from their unbeaten 4-0-0 record so far after the first two rounds of action. In 50 rounds, they have won 29, giving them a 58% win rate. They are coming into this round on the back of a two-game winning series against Ferox, closing out both matches in clinical fashion (7-5 and 8-7).

LFO, on the other hand, are placed sixth in the Six Masters standings. They have split their four games and both their matches as well. They have been steady but whether they have the same confidence or momentum as Wildcard Gaming is a massive doubt. They have, incidentally, split all their 46 rounds so far, winning 23 of them. Odds of about 1.40 for the best team in the competition seems about fair.

Elevate v Team Sinister

Team Sinister (2.40)

Firstly, let’s understand why Elevate are favourites here. They have a 3-1 games record so far. They won a series against Kanga and drew one against LFO in the first round. They are currently third in the Six Masters standings and have won 23 of 39 rounds so far. These are all valid reasons to back Elevate in maybe one game against Team Sinister but I don’t think it’s going to be easy to beat Team Sinister in both games.

Sinister were beaten convincingly in their opening series against Wildcard Gaming but came back strongly to beat Pittsburgh Knights in both games in their subsequent series. They have won over 50% of their rounds (24 of 47). This makes them a challenger because of their momentum. I’d back Team Sinister to win one game here but not both. Considering the odds are above 2, you could even bet on them winning both. If they win one, you still take away a profit.
