China’s premier League of Legends event, the Pro League, resumes on Friday with two mismatches. We look at two prop bets you could consider for your bet slip from these two games.
Map handicap: LNG Esports +1.5 (2.0)
Royal Never Give Up have made a fantastic start to the season, winning both their series without dropping a map. They do have some work to do to stay consistent and keep that streak up. They should win on Friday as well but they might not do that without dropping a map. There is a big difference between both these teams but LNG are no pushovers. They have the depth to challenge RNG and take a map off them. In the third map, I expect RNG to be too strong.
Xx is LNG’s go-to man for offense. He had a poor spring split, averaging just 2 kills a map. Maple was their most prolific offensive player, averaging 3.15 kills per game along with 4.73 assists per game. In the 25 games he played, Asura was a force as well. LNG Esports will need all their players to come together in tandem in order to give themselves a chance against one of the best teams in China.
Map handicap: FunPlus Phoenix -1.5 (1.70)
FunPlus Phoenix are a real force in the Pro League. They finished the spring split positioned third in the standings with a 12-4 series record. That was after they started the season in sluggish form. They also won 27 of 40 maps in that split. They started their summer season with a loss. They will be desperate to prevent the same start they endured in spring. Bilibili Gaming were also blown away in their season opener by Vici Gaming. The manner of that defeat will leave them a tad cold and short of confidence. FunPlus Phoenix will feed on that hesitation.
FunPlus are dominated by their mid laner-ADC combination of Doinb and Lwx. Both of them had 4.38 kills per game in the spring split, an indicator of their offensive prowess. Jungler Tian also chipped in with a few kills to take the pressure off their offensive core. Bilibili Gaming will find it extremely hard to stop these three players in particular.
