G2 Esports v Mad Lions

Map handicap: G2 Esports -2.5 (1.79)

With the change of format, there are opportunities in these playoffs games. G2 Esports finished the LEC as the best team by a distance. They culminated the regular season with an eight-game winning streak that carried them to 15-3 for the split. Mad Lions crept into the winner’s bracket by finishing fourth with an 11-7 record.

Personnel

Perkz and Caps have continued to lead this G2 Esports team. G2 also have two players – Caps and Mikyx – who average over 10 assists per game. Jankos has been the standout jungler in Europe this season. There is just too much skill right through this roster.

Fnatic v Origen

Fnatic (1.56)

This is a much more balanced matchup. Fnatic finished tied for second in the LEC with a 13-5 season record. Origen matched them with the same record. For this particular game though, Fnatic may just have the depth and prowess in their roster to take them through because they’ve been in these high-pressure situations on numerous instances.

Personnel

Rekkles has been the leader of this Fnatic team offensively. He has the best KDA in the entire LEC at 9.9. No other player in the split comes close to him. Bwipo and Selfmade have also been consistent, averaging well over 3 kills per game.

Misfits Gaming v Rogue

Rogue (2.18)

Rogue started the split in sprightly fashion but didn’t end that way. They lost their last four matches to fall away dramatically, finishing sixth in the split with a 9-9 record. Misfits won one more game than them, finishing 10-8. Rogue would like to put that streak behind them and start fresh in this loser’s bracket. They certainly have the roster to do that. The higher payout is also a considerable factor.

Personnel

Larssen has been the most potent offensive weapon for Rogue this season. He is averaging 3.78 kills per game, while Hans Sama has 2.94 kills for Rogue. Considering both players have a KDA well over 4, they will be pivotal in this game.
