cs_summit 6: Heroic vs. NiP

NiP (1.64)

At first glance, this looks like the typical opponent that might make things very difficult for NiP. Heroic are a strong Nuke team, and they also often ban Overpass which is easily one of NiP’s strongest maps. However, the fact that they are really poor on Dust2 hurts them quite a bit (They have lost their last four games on Dust2 without breaking double digits.) This should allow NiP to ban Nuke without too much worry, giving them the edge in the map veto. NiP will likely opt for Vertigo, while Heroic will have to settle for Mirage, Train or Inferno. While Heroic are definitely a live dog on their map choice, I favor NiP quite a bit in this series overall assuming that they let Dust2 through in the veto.

cs_summit 6: Liquid vs. Evil Geniuses

Liquid (1.74)

The last time these two sides met, Evil Geniuses came out victorious after a three map series. Evil Geniuses have been in good form recently, taking down FURIA twice in BO3s, however, this is an opponent that they have always had a great track record against. Liquid are a completely different beast in this regard, as they have been the far superior side in this matchup historically, winning four out five BO3s against Evil Geniuses just this year.
