The former Cloud9 CS:GO players Erick “Xeppaa” Bach and Ricky “floppy” Kemery have announced that they are leaving the game in favour of Valorant.

The American duo will stay with the Cloud9 organisation, where they will team up with several other former Counter-Strike players such as leaf (ex-Chaos), xeta (ex-MVP.PK, TYLOO), and mitch (ex-Dignitas).

floppy was long hailed as one of North America’s biggest talents in CS:GO after making waves with teams like Singularity and ATK, which eventually landed him a contract with Cloud9.

Xeppaa rose to fame during his time with Chaos, where he was one of the key players alongside leaf, whom he will now re-unite with on Cloud9’s Valorant team; “C9 Blue”.

The North American region has seen an abundance of players move to Valorant since the covid outbreak started, with big contracts in Riot’s Valorant becoming all the more enticing for CS:GO players. Recently, we saw the former EG player Ethan make the move to Valorant as well, where he has secured a contract with 100 Thieves.
