PSG.LGD defeated Team Spirit in the OGA Dota PIT Invitational grand finals. The grand final clash ended with a score of 3:1 for the Chinese. y’s team took first place in the championship and earned $114,500.

Team Spirit received $59,500 for second place. Having lost to T1 in the first round of the playoffs, Miposhka’s team had a very hard journey throughout the lower bracket. They’ve reached the grand final beating all teams in the lower bracket in an incredible fashion. On the way to the decisive match, Spirit dealt with Team Undying, Fnatic, T1 and Tundra Esports.

The OGA Dota PIT Invitational was held from September 6-10. The teams battled it out for the prize pool of $275,000.

Picklebets Favourites

Once again we were right. Right before the tournament started we analysed the tournament and teams that are going in. We thought PSG.LGD and Tundra were clean favourites to take the tournament. PSG.LGD once again proved that they are one of the best teams in the world, for sure in China. They are in the amazing position going into The International 10. Confidence is here, results are here, strong plays are here and they are ready to go really far in TI10. On the other hand, Tundra did fail a bit, at least to some extent. After winning ESL One Fall 2021 just 2 weeks before in a dominant fashion by beating PSG.LGD in the grand finals, they didn’t manage to repeat their success in this tournament too. They failed to beat Team Spirit in the lower bracket grand finals, as they cemented 3rd place, which is still a pretty good result. However, in the end, I believe it was a disappointment for them. They are done with tournaments for now, since they didn’t qualify for The International.
