Victory Five v Royal Never Give Up

Map handicap: Royal Never Give Up -1.5 (1.31)

Royal Never Give Up have had an appalling season so far, by their lofty standards. They are 3-5 for the season so far. It started a lot worse after they lost five of their first six matches. However, RNG in form, with some confidence and momentum can be a tricky opponent for any team in the world. Victory Five, currently last in the LPL with no wins out of seven matches, should find this matchup extremely unfavourable. Overall, RNG should cruise through in straight maps without hassle.

Personnel

Both Gala and Xiaohu have done quite well on the offensive end this split. They have both averaged 4.05 kills per game so far in summer, with solid KDAs. Wei has done well too, putting up 3.6 kills and 6.3 assists to take his kill participation close to 10. Cryin has struggled a bit, with just 2 kills but he has a kill participation of well over 10 with a creep score of 234.

Bilibili Gaming v Top Esports

Top Esports (1.33)

Top Esports have been one of the most enigmatic teams in the LPL for several splits in a row. With such an aggressive style, they have occasionally been the creators of their own misery. That’s just how they approach Summoner’s Rift, which certainly makes for compelling viewing. Top are now eighth in the LPL, with a 5-3 season record. They are also 12-7 in maps so far in summer. Bilibili are slightly better off but there is a bit of a firepower mismatch in this game, which will work in Top’s favour, especially in the lanes. This might need a third map but it should still be Top Esports that ends up triumphant.

Personnel

Knight has continued his dominance in the middle lane in the LPL. He has put up 5.58 kills, 1.79 deaths and 5.21 assists per game to lift his KDA to a team-leading 6.03. JackeyLove has also lifted his game in the last few matches, which has resulted in his kill production increasing to 4.21 per game. He has a KDA of over 4 and leads Top Esports with a creep score of 314.
