Team Vitality v Fnatic

Fnatic (1.77)

Fnatic have started the season with one win and two losses across three matches. Even though the team has lost some offensive firepower, there is still enough depth and quality in this Fnatic set-up. They have been successful across splits right from the resumption of League of Legends after a temporary stoppage due to the pandemic. Team Vitality have also won one and lost two. While that might not be a massive factor in this match, you would still expect the consistency and skill of Fnatic to shine through by the end of this match.

Four of Fnatic’s five players have averaged 3.67 kills or more per game. That’s plenty of kills per match. The team has been led by Bwipo, who has put up 4.33 kills per game along with 6.67 assists per game. Adam has chipped in with four kills per map as well, while Nisqy and Upset have identical kill participation numbers this split (3.67 kills and 7.33 assists per game). This level of offensive production will be hard to stop for Vitality.

SK Gaming v Schalke 04

SK Gaming (2.37)

SK Gaming have started the season with a bit of early despondency. They have lost their first three matches to fall to the bottom of the LEC table. That’s one of the reasons they are underdogs in this matchup, against a team they will fancy beating to get on the board. Schalke 04 have put in some memorable performances against some of the best in the LEC but consistency has been hard to find. SK Gaming will certainly stake a claim for an early elemental dragon, and could even win a team fight that blows this match wide open.

Only Twohoyrz has managed more than three kills per game this season. He has managed 3.33 kills a map with a team-leading KDA of 3.17. He will need some support from Treatz, who has been a bit too passive in the lanes this split so far. Jesiz also needs to step up his defense against Schalke considering he has been killed an average of 4.67 times per map in this split so far.
