Another packed LEC schedule is coming your way this weekend, starting with a round of fixtures on Friday. Here is a breakdown of two of those matches for your consideration on Picklebet from Friday’s LEC action.
This is arguably the best fixture of this weekend’s LEC action. Rogue and Misfits are jointly at the top of the LEC standings with a 7-2 record. Misfits have been solid right through this split but Rogue have come firing back into the season with four straight wins. The confidence and momentum that a run like that can bring to a team cannot be understated. Rogue have shown, majorly in previous splits, that they can also remain consistent in terms of outcome and style of play in Summoner’s Rift. There is plenty of offensive firepower in that team as well.
Hans Sama has continued his astonishing form with some more spectacular performances. He has averaged 4.44 kills along with 6.67 assists per map to earn himself a KDA of 7.69. He even has the lowest death rate (1.44) in his team as well as the highest creep score (315). Larssen has been in solid touch, putting up 4.11 kills and 5.22 assists per map. Inspired has chipped in with a kill participation of well over 10 as well.
G2 Esports (1.29)
G2 Esports have fallen away in a dramatic way in summer in the LEC. They started with four wins in their first five games but have since lost four straight matches to fall below 0.500 (4-5 for the season so far). They are a much better team than those statistics suggest. G2 Esports have an opportunity to put that poor run of form behind them when they face a steady Astralis team on Friday. Astralis also have a 4-5 season record but there is more than just momentum that separates these two teams. G2 will put on an offensive show with a win desperately needed.
Rekkles has led the offensive production for G2 with 3.78 kills per map. He still has the best KDA in G2 considering he has been killed just 1.11 times per map on average in summer. Caps and Jankos have both chipped in with more than three kills per map but their KDAs are rather low because they have been killed far too often.
