Golden Guardians vs Cloud9

Cloud9 (1.17)

Odds of 1.17 are not exactly compelling for a team in a playoffs scenario but it’s important to note that this is one of the best teams in the League of Legends verse against a team that has historically struggled to even enter the playoffs. Cloud9 had a middling summer split, which was well below their usual lofty standards. They finished with a 28-17 record, and 15-12 in summer. Even though that is significantly better than Golden Guardians’ overall record of 14-31, there is more than just form that comes into this conversation. The power and strength of Cloud9 in the lanes will be a big factor as well.

Five players out of the six that have represented Cloud9 at the summer split have a kill rate of over three per map. Zven has been the most influential of those players, with a KDA of 7.83. Perkz, Fudge and Blaber all have more than three kills as well, adding consistent firepower in the lanes right through the split. It will be this same core trio that will have to put up a strong statement against Golden Guardians in this matchup.

Team SoloMid vs Team Liquid

Team SoloMid (2.21)

TSM have been one of the stories in League of Legends this year. They are coming into the LCS after losing one of the most powerful mid-bot laner combinations in the world after both Bjergsen and Doublelift retired last year. Still, they have overachieved inside Summoner’s Rift. So much so that they ended up first in the LCS standings with an 18-9 record. Team Liquid will always compete in this league, as they did with a 15-12 match record in summer. TSM are surprisingly underdogs in this match, which makes the case more compelling for bettors because of the higher payout.

Spica has been the standout performer for TSM this split. He has averaged 3.44 kills along with 5.3 assists per game. PowerOfEvil has put up 2.52 kills along with 6 assists with a KDA of 4.69. These two will be hard to stop for Liquid through the entirety of the best of five.
