After a long weekly break, the LCK resumes on Thursday with a couple of matches, including the league leaders Sandbox Gaming looking to continue their winning streak. Here is a look at some predictions from both matches.
Afreeca Freecs (1.55)
Afreeca Freecs have made a strong start to the LCK summer split, by their standards. They are currently sixth on the LCK table with a 9-7 record. They have a winning record, in terms of maps as well, having won 21 of 41 maps to date. Hanwha Life Esports have been decent but have not quite managed to stay consistent, which has resulted in their slip down the table to eighth with a 6-10 record. This won’t be an easy match for Afreeca Freecs, and it might even need a third map, but it seems like they have a little more than Hanwha across Summoner’s Rift.
Leo has led the offensive production for Afreeca Freecs this season, with 3.49 kills per game. He is the only player from Afreeca Freecs to have a kill rate of over three per map this split. He has been ably supported by Dread, Fly and Kiin, who have all put in over two kills per map so far. Leo is also leading the team in KDA (4.21) and creep score (325).
KT Rolster (3.00)
Sandbox Gaming have overachieved in spectacular fashion so far in summer. In fact, they are leading the LCK standings after six straight wins have pushed them to 11-5 for the season. They have a map win rate of 60 percent, with 25 wins in 42 maps. KT Rolster have won just 6 of 16 matches so far, which has left them reeling at seventh in the table. However, Sandbox Gaming are due a bad day, which happens often in Summoner’s Rift, even for league leaders. KT Rolster are a steady team, capable of putting in solid team fights. If they can take out an inhibitor in the first map, there could be an upset in store here.
Dove has been KT Rolster’s most productive offensive player, putting up 3.83 kills per game along with 4.78 assists. Blank has been the most effective player, producing 2.27 kills, 2.22 deaths and 6.57 assists to gather a team-leading KDA of 3.99.
