It will also be the first-ever major broadcast in glorious 4K 60 fps! Join us by following the event in March as 18 teams battle it out for$500,000 and 2,700 DPC points.

ONE Esports Singapore Major 2021 is the first major of the 2021 Dota Pro Circuit season. It will be played from March 27th to April 4th. With the Singapore Major just a few days away, the teams are locked in and ready to compete for the big $500,000 prize pool.

Tournament will feature eighteen teams in total. Four teams will represent Europe and China, three teams each will represent SEA and CIS region, and two teams will represent each of North and South American regions. Tournament will be divided into 3 stages: Wild Card, Group Stage and Playoffs. Wild Card part will be played for 2 days as six teams will play best of 2 single round robin formats. Top two teams will advance to the group stage while the others will be eliminated. Group Stage will be played for 2 days too. With eight teams playing single round robin in best of 2 format, only the top two teams will advance to the upper bracket of the playoffs. The 3rd to 6th team will advance to the lower bracket, while all other teams will be eliminated.

Playoff stage is the main part of the tournament. Running from 31st March to April 4th, it will feature a double elimination bracket with best of 3 matches, excluding grand finals which will be best of 5 format.

Tournament is supported by Valve and is a tier 1 Dota 2 tournament with 2700 Pro Circuit Points and a $500,000 prize pool. Circuit points count for qualifications for The International. Sadly, because of the COVID-19 crisis, the tournament will be played without a live audience.

PickleBet Predictions

This is surely the most stacked tournament of the year. While the first stage with 6 Wild Card teams looks stacked as hell, we don’t even wanna talk about next stages. Teams with Playoff Seed of course have the biggest chance of taking the trophy, because they can get to the grand finals with the lesser amount of matches compared to others. Would be amazing to see a team from the Wild Card go all the way to the Group Stage and Playoffs. That would be equal to a dream tournament run.

I do think that this season is a good season for Chinese teams. PSG.LGD and Invictus Gaming can go very far. However, PSG.LGD need to go all the way from the Wild Card round. It won’t be impossible for them, that’s for sure.

One thing is for sure, if you ask me. I don’t see any of the current Group Stage teams on the throne. I don’t think any of those teams don’t have a chance to win this Dota 2 Major.

Our three favourites to take this ONE Esports Singapore Major 2021 are:

  • Team Secret
  • Invictus Gaming

Those are the teams with the highest odds and chances if you ask us. Team Secret has been dominating last year and they are known to be the best when they must be. IG and PSG.LGD are pretty strong this season and they could be top Chinese contenders. For an underdog, I would say VirtusPro is the team that can surprise us all. Could be an interesting bet.
