The LPL kicks on with another couple of games on Tuesday. Here is a look at some picks and predictions for you to consider on Picklebet.
Map handicap: Edward Gaming -1.5 (1.23)
Edward Gaming have started the split with six straight wins. They are now second on the LPL table. There is immense confidence and momentum in the Edward Gaming camp, as opposed to Ultra Prime, who have won just one of five matches in summer. There are only two real markets available for this market because odds of 1.03 for a match winner on Edward Gaming isn’t worthy. Therefore, your decision comes down to whether you think Ultra Prime can take a map off Edward Gaming. Considering Edward have lost just one map in summer out of 13 is a fair indicator that it’s highly unlikely that Ultra Prime can win one map.
Four players from Edward Gaming have had more than three kills per game in summer. That’s extraordinary because it shows that they don’t rely on individual talent to win matches. Their offensive production has been led by Viper, who has a kill participation of well over 11 (4.38 kills and 7.08 assists). Jiejie is leading the team in efficiency with a KDA of 8.94.
Invictus Gaming (1.75)
This will be an exceptional match because these are two of the better LPL teams in summer. Neither of these teams have hit their best form in this split or even in previous splits. LGD Gaming have been slightly better so far having won three matches out of six. They are now eighth on the LPL table. Invictus Gaming, who have been far more consistent over the last few splits, have failed to hit their typical rhythm yet. Invictus Gaming have won two of five matches so far, and are 11th. However, on paper, Invictus Gaming have the better roster and should continue to be too strong for LGD Gaming. This might go to a third map but Invictus just seems like the right bet.
Invictus Gaming have already used seven players so far in this summer split. XUN has the best KDA and efficiency at just 3.23, with 3 kills and a little over 5 assists per game on average. All players have been killed at least two times on average per map.
