Will Royal Never Give Up hand Team WE their first loss of the season? Can Estar upset LNG? Here is a look at the teams to back from Friday’s action at the LPL.
Estar Gaming (3.00)
Often, the justification to back the favourite is just so strong that backing the underdog doesn’t seem like an option. That’s definitely not the case in this game with Estar and LNG, both middling LPL teams for the recent few months. The reason LNG is so favourable in this game is because of their split form, which includes three wins in four matches. Estar, on the other hand, have won two of five matches. Still, there is enough depth in the Estar roster to put in another solid performance and upset LNG Esports.
It’s surprising that H4cker is leading the kills for Estar considering he is a jungler, occupying a position that doesn’t usually include a lot of kills. Rat has done well to stay close by, putting up 3.17 kills and 5.17 assists per game. All five Estar players are averaging well over five assists per game, another indicator of their all-round prowess.
Team WE (1.50)
Royal Never Give Up is a team you normally wouldn’t bet against but Team WE has been one of the most consistent teams in the LPL across 2020 and this spring split too. So far, Team WE have started with five straight wins to open the new split. They have lost just 2 of 12 maps too. This level of confidence and momentum might be too much for a team like RNG, especially in the lanes where team fights can break out rather easily before dragon spawns.
From a killing standpoint, Jiumeng is even challenging for the top of the LPL. He is currently averaging 5.92 kills along with 5.08 assists with a KDA of 6. He isn’t even close to the most efficient player in his team. Beishang is leading Team WE in KDA (9.69), with 4.17 kills and 6.33 assists per game. Breathe isn’t far behind, with 2.25 kills and 7.5 assists per map. Shanks also has a KDA of close to 7.
