Rogue Warriors v FunPlus Phoenix

Map handicap: FunPlus Phoenix -1.5 (1.61)

This game is such a massive mismatch on paper than FunPlus to win in straight maps is just 1.61. To be fair, that isn’t surprising with the roster imbalance between these two teams. FunPlus Phoenix has made a solid start to the spring campaign, winning three of five maps so far. Rogue Warriors, on the other hand, have won just two of seven maps to date, losing two of their three series this season. FunPlus’ confident and resurgent roster will be too strong for Rogue Warriors, and should result in a straight-maps win.

It’s hardly surprising that Lwx is leading the kill output for FunPlus Phoenix so far this season. He is averaging 5.2 kills, 1.2 deaths and 2.6 assists per game so far. The middle lane has been guarded by Doinb, who has been relatively quiet by comparison. Tian has chipped in with aplomb, putting up 3.4 kills 2 deaths and 3.8 assists per map so far in spring. Nuguri, the new recruit from the LCK, has chipped in with a handy 4.6 assists per map.

Edward Gaming v LGD Gaming

Total maps: Over 2.5 (2.60)

Edward Gaming have made a rapid start to their spring campaign, winning both their matches. LGD Gaming have split their two matches. Just based on these early results alone, it would be unfair to count out LGD Gaming from their game entirely. They have enough depth and skill in their roster to at least challenge Edward Gaming’s base in one map. Many matches in the LPL go to a decisive third map because of how one team fight can upset the favourite. That could happen here again, which could make the return of 2.60 quite compelling.

For LGD Gaming, Cult and Chance haven’t registered a kill yet, which has hampered their performance so far. Garvey has been their killing weapon, averaging 3.33 kills per game to lead the offense. Viper has been in terrific form for Edward Gaming, racking up four kills per map. Even though LGD Gaming have an apparent lack of offensive production, there is enough defensive depth to pick up one map.
