Top Esports are still looking for their first win of the season. Who would have thought? They will face Rare Atom on Friday as the LPL resumes. Here are some picks for the day’s games.
Estar Gaming (2.70)
Estar were beaten in their opening encounter of the spring split but they competed and even won a map. Even though they have lost the core of their roster from the spring season of 2020, there is enough skill and young talent in that team. Rogue Warriors have won two of five maps so far this season, which means they are higher on confidence and therefore have lower odds. Estar are, by no means, pushovers in this matchup. In terms of risk against reward, I’d say backing Estar to win outright might be the way to go in this game.
Personnel
All of Estar’s players averaged at least two kills in that opening match. That bodes well for Estar because a team with steady output across lanes will create openings inside the map that other teams might not have. New hire H4cker had 2.67 kills, 3.67 assists and 2 deaths per map. Rat led the kill production, averaging 3.33 kills, 3 deaths and 2.33 assists per game in that opening game.
Top Esports (1.30)
I’m quite surprised the odds for Top Esports is as high as 1.30. There is a massive mismatch in skill between these two rosters. Top Esports are coming into this match on the back of a loss in the opening game of the split against Suning followed by a 2-1 loss in the next match. Two losses in two is well below par for a team of Top’s quality. Rare Atom won’t be easy to dispatch but Top Esports will always be aggressive in the lanes. Rare Atom might find out the hard way.
Personnel
After a disappointing first game, JackeyLove returned to form in the following match. He now averages 4.4 kills and 5.4 assists with 3.2 deaths. These offensive returns make JackeyLove one of the most feared players in the bottom lane. Knight and Karsa have averaged 3.8 and 3.4 kills respectively this season over five maps. These three will form the core of Top’s kill output against Rare Atom as well.
