JD Gaming will be looking for their first win of their season as the LPL resumes on Thursday. Here are some predictions from both games in the LPL.
JD Gaming (1.29)
JD Gaming lost their season opener without winning a map. That will leave them short of confidence but eager to return to the top half of the table. More importantly, there is enough skill in that team to ensure that it does eventually happen. Bilibili Gaming aren’t quite at the same level, in terms of quality, to sustain fights in the lanes. JD Gaming is likely to start the game quickly after sluggish beginning in the previous game. Backing JD Gaming to win 2-0 is not a bad choice either.
In two maps, JD Gaming had just 11 kills. That was one of the major reasons for their struggle in the previous game. Expect a much better performance, particularly in the middle and bottom lanes against Bilibili. Loken had 1 kill, 3.5 deaths and 1.5 assists as an average per map. He was killed the fewest times among his colleagues. Zoom will be in charge of the top lane, while Kanavi will have to be much better in the jungle.
Total maps: Over 2.5 (2.00)
At face value, it seems like most factors are in Suning’s favour, including their sensational split-opening win against Top Esports without losing a map. However, RNG have proved repeatedly they have the skill across lanes to make an impact in team fights, particularly in those before dragons or barons spawn. I really can’t say with any certainty that either of these teams will win this. In such cases, it always makes sense to back the game to go to a third map. And the payout seems quite high too.
Cryin, Wei and Xiaohu were in terrific offensive shape in the first game. Cryin had an average of six kills per map, Wei had 4.5 kills and Xiaohu had 4 kills. When three players are producing such stunning returns, it’s a safe bet that they will at least compete in the lanes. I expect this team to win at least one map. I also expect Suning to do the same, and pick up one map win.
