Odoamne to move to Rogue

According to ESPN sources, former Schalke 04 top laner Andrei “Odoamne” Pascu will likely make the move to Rogue for next season’s LEC. Support Adrian “Trymbi” Trybus could also be promoted from AGO Rogue, the franchise’s secondary team.

Odoamne will replace Finn “Finn” Wiestål, who struggled right through the World Championship, while Trymbi will replace Oskar “VandeR” Bogdan. Any moves between franchises can take place officially only when the free-agency window opens on November 16.

According to ESPN, Odoamne spent 2019 and 2020 as a part of Schalke 04 Esports, who despite an awful spring split this year rebounded at the end of the summer regular season, qualifying for the playoffs and finishing just one place shy of making the world championship. Schalke 04 will rebuild around jungler Erberk “Gilius” Demir and mid laner Felix “Abbedagge” Braun, although other members of that team may be brought back depending on how the remainder of the offseason shakes out, sources said.

Evil Geniuses to sign new head coach

Over in the LCS, former Mad Lions head coach Peter Dun will likely be Evil Geniuses’ head coach for the 2021 season. Evil Geniuses’ former coach Heo “Irean” Yeong-cheol left the team on October 20 after a relatively successful summer split. However, Evil Geniuses failed to qualify for the World Championships.

The move cannot take place till the end of the World Championships, according to Riot’s rules. However, it is learned that the terms have been agreed to. According to Jacob Wolf, “in addition to Dun, Evil Geniuses will be retooling their lineup heading into 2021, building around jungler Dennis “Svenskeren” Johnsen as the core piece. The team intends to part with AD carry Bae “Bang” Jun-sik, starting a search for a new player in that position, sources said. Other players who are under contract with Evil Geniuses but are not guaranteed to start for the team come January include top laner Heo “Huni” Seung-hoon, mid laner Daniele “Jiizuke” di Mauro and support Tristan “Zeyzal” Stidam. Evil Geniuses will evaluate their options on the free-agent market, which opens Nov. 16 at 7 p.m. ET.”
