The former North trio of Markus “Kjaerbye” Kjærbye, Philip “aizy” Aistrup and Nicklas “gade” Gade have reunited on a new CS:GO team after North seized operations last month. Joining them will be the former Heroic player Johannes “b0RUP” Borup, who was dropped by Heroic in February after the Danes bombed out in 9th-12th place at IEM Katowice.
“After North ceased operations, I began talking with Kjaerbye and aizy about how we wanted to reunite and build a new team,” gade said. “b0rup and I go way back, and we always joked about playing in the same team again. I am super happy that this has finally become reality.”
Rounding out the roster is Frederik “Fessor” Sørensen, who last played for the Danish-German organisation, Bluejays. The youngster is unproven at the highest level, having spent most of his career on Danish teams such as Singularity and Ambush, but gade believes he has the potential to be a top-player.
“Fessor is a rising star, and the decision to pick him up was a no-brainer.”
The team is now looking for an organisation to represent, a task that could prove difficult in the current economic climate.
“It’s a rough situation with the pandemic and organisations jumping into other games, but I do believe that good things come to those who are patient and hardworking,” gade explained. “Right now it’s about developing and performing so that we can have a breakthrough.”
The Danish team which is currently nameless, looks as follows:
