Day 2 of EPIC League Division 1 is here, we saw a few surprises in day 1 and many amazing matches. Day 2 will be as exciting as day 1 with Team Secret, OG, Alliance and Liquid playing.
Over 2.5 @ 1.94
This match will be the DOTA Summit rematch. Just 5 days after Vikin.gg crushed Team Liquid 3-1 in the grand finals of DOTA Summit, they are facing again, however, this time in a best of 3 format. Their clashes are always so interesting and can go either way. For example in the match 14 days ago, Liquid crushed Vikin.gg 2-0. In their match before that, we watched Vikin.gg take a 2-1 win. Really back and forth. However, this time Liquid is coming to this match out of a loss vs Natus Vincere on Day 1 of EPIC League. This will be Vikin.gg’s first match in this competition, and their first match after they’ve won DOTA Summit. Usually new champions are opening their next tournament with a loss, we will see if this rule will apply here. Liquid are the favourites on most of the sportsbooks, but I believe this can go either way. 3 maps are highly possible here and that’s the bet with the most value in this situation.
Mudgolems +1.5 @ 2.15
Oh boy, Team Secret is back. After their “fail” in ESL One Germany a few weeks ago, they are here for redemption. ESL One Germany was not their tournament as they lost 2 matches in the playoffs. And one of their losses in the upper bracket was vs their next opponent, Mudgolems. Mudgolems managed to take down Secret with an amazing 2-0 result. That was the first time in a while that someone managed to take Secret down in such amazing fashion. Mudgolems are few of the rare teams in 2020 that managed to do that. We still remember Secret’s breakdown vs Unique, where Unique took a 2-0 victory. A victory that not even biggest optimists expected. However, this is a new tournament here, $500,000 is on the line and I wonder how Team Secret will enter this tournament. With what mentality? Yes once again, Team Secret are big big favourites here. Betting on money line on Secret is once again not worth it. 15 days ago, Mudgolems managed to take Team Secret down, I don’t see a reason why they couldn’t take a map today. Odds are amazing on Mudgolems handicap. That’s the best value of the day.
Alliance @ 1.65
Again OG vs Alliance. In the last month or so, we’ve watched this match 3 times. Interestingly enough, Alliance won all 3 matches vs the 2x The International champions. Once again OG had a terrible tournament opening. On day 1 of the event they were crushed by a new young Virtus.Pro squad. Virtus.Pro 2-0 OG. OG had a lead in the both games, they were trying to play their special drafts and rotations, but each time Virtus.Pro managed to turn it around. In the end, my thoughts about this OG team are not especially high currently. With such individuals in the squad, they must and they can do much better. In the last 5 official matches, OG has lost 4 of them. Alliance has their bad moments too, but I do believe they can take down OG which is not the old, good OG anymore. Maybe OG can pull out the map, but I doubt that they can win that series if they will play like they did vs Virtus.Pro.
