We take a look at two of today's games in BLAST Premier Fall Series, including why BIG are in a great spot to get things done against FaZe.
Complexity +1.5 (1.41)
Vitality are coming off yet another second-place finish after losing to Heroic in the finals of DreamHack Open Fall, while Complexity are set to play their first official game with jks, who they acquired from 100 Thieves last week. The last time these two teams met was in IEM New York, where Vitality came out on top with the 2-0 sweep. However, it is worth noting that Complexity were without oBo in that match, and had to play with NaToSaphiX as a stand-in. They have otherwise been very competitive in matches with Vitality, winning three out of four games, two of which were 2-0 sweeps. While Complexity did lose the last game against Vitality, the map veto played out favourable for them. Depending on how the veto plays out, Complexity will be in a good spot to take at least a map in this series, in my opinion.
BIG (1.33) or BIG -1.5 (2.12)
FaZe will play this match with olofmeister as a stand-in for NiKo, who just made the move over to G2. olofmeister has been out for a significant amount of time and hasn’t played an official game since May. This will clearly hurt their chances against an opponent that they have historically struggled against, losing five out of six meetings this year, all of which have been clean 2-0 sweeps in favour of BIG. While I do think that there are others on FaZe who are able to step-up in the abscense of NiKo, this is not the ideal opponent for them to face in this scenario.
