BLAST Premier Fall Series: G2 vs. MIBR

G2 (1.29) or MIBR Map 1 +3.5 (1.87)

MIBR have come out swinging so far, going the distance against Astrais in the opener and knocking out FURIA in what was a massive upset. To perform this well despite bringing in three new and largely unproven players is very impressive. If it wasn’t for some heroics by Astralis in OT on Vertigo, MIBR could easily have walked away with the 2-0 sweep which would have been one of the biggest upsets in recent memory. They will face off against G2 who are running high on confidence after the acquisition of NiKo from FaZe. Both NiKo and huNter- are in fine form going into this one, with NiKo dropping 38 frags in regulation against Astralis.

This should be an excellent game with two teams who are high on confidence. MIBR have shown that they should not be underestimated with their recent performances. Interestingly, this MIBR team appears to be very solid on Nuke, a map which was largely ignored by the former roster and this could come into play against G2. Beating both FURIA and Astralis on Nuke is no joke, so it honestly would not surprise me in the slightest if they were to take this map against G2. This makes the Map 1 handicap an interesting option. However, at the end of the day, G2 really should get things done here in a BO3. It basically comes down to whether or not you think that G2 takes this series 80% of the time, if you think they do, it is worth considering G2 here on the ML. Especially if we see the odds drift north of 1.30.
