Snappi to stand-in for Astralis as Xyp9x takes leave of absence.
According to a report by esports media outlet DBLTAP, Andreas “Xyp9x” Højsleth will be taking a leave of absence. The news comes just over a week after Astralis’ seasoned in-game leader, Lukas “gla1ve” Rossander, announced that he will be taking a break from the game to recover from stress and burnout.
Astralis have signed both Jakob “JUGi” Hansen and Patrick “es3tag” Hansen over the past two months, but the latter will not be able to join the team until his contract with Heroic expires on June 30.
Initially it seemed like the Astralis organization had their sights set on the former NiP player, Jonas “Lekr0” Olofsson, but they have instead opted to acquire the services of the former Heroic player, Marco “Snappi” Pfeiffer, who will be standing in for Astralis moving forward.
