Nivera steps down from Vitality following the organisation's decision to revert to a five-man roster
Nabil “Nivera” Benrlitom has been benched by the Vitality organisation. The choice was made following Valve’s announcement that they will be penalising teams that swap players out during the Regional Major Ranking circuit, making Vitality question the future of their six-man roster.
“Unfortunately, following the recent announcement, questions arose regarding the six-man format and we aren’t feeling confident regarding the future of this structure,” Vitality said in a statement on Twitter. “Therefore, we are coming back to a five-man roster for the time being.”
Nivera was previously utilised as a substitute for Richard “shox” Papillon and Kévin “misutaaa” Rabier, with Nivera primarily playing Dust2 and Inferno. With the change, misutaaa and shox will return to playing all maps in the pool.
