The biggest esport tournament of all time will be held in Romania, Europe.
The 10th iteration of The International spectacle was supposed to take place in Sweden, but it was announced two weeks ago that Valve will have to look for a new host after they failed to find an agreement on visa facilitation for the players.
Although it was assumed among the fans that Russia or Ukraine would be chosen as the host, the decision eventually fell on Romania.
TI10 will be held at the Romanian National Stadium in Bucharest, which hosts the Romanian national football team. This beautiful edition can accommodate over 55,000 spectators and was opened in 2011 when it was built on the site of the old National Stadium from 1953.
Although Valve quickly managed to find a new host, the tournament will be significantly postponed. The International 10 will take place in October instead of as originally planned in August. The group stage will be played from October 7 to 10, while the playoffs are on the program from October 12.
The grand final is scheduled for October 17, when the two teams will fight for the main part of the prize fund, which amounts to over 40 million dollars.
