The Six Masters is back on Wednesday for another two series, including tournament leaders Wildcard Gaming. We take a look at predictions and the reasons for them below.
Wildcard Gaming (1.45)
Wildcard Gaming have been the best team in the Six Masters so far. They have lost just one of eight matches so far. In terms of games, they have won 55 and lost 33. Their only defeat this season came in a tight 7-5 game against LFO on May 13. There is too much confidence and momentum to squander. In their previous series, Wildcard Gaming smashed Kanga Esports 7-0 and 7-2.
Okami haven’t been a bad team. They have won five of eight series, putting them fourth in the standings. Like Wildcard Gaming, they have also won 55 games. However, they have also lost 49 games, which has proved to be quite problematic for them. Okami might compete and challenge but I’d always back skill. In this case, Wildcard Gaming have the form as well, making this a relatively easy decision.
There isn’t a lot that separates these two teams on paper. LFO are sixth in the standings having won four and lost four matches to date. Team Ferox are one position below them on the points table. They have won three and lost five series.
Yet, Team Ferox have won more games than LFO. Ferox have played 98 games, splitting that tally evenly down the middle. LFO, on the other hand, have won just 42 of 89 games. However, that throws light on a vital factor: the ability to close out games well. LFO have been able to win more matches despite losing more games. This matchup is too close to call, but I would say LFO have enough depth to win at least one of the two games.
