The Six Masters, one of Australia’s premier Rainbow Six competitions, resumes on Tuesday with a couple of matchups. Here is a look at the teams to back and the reasons for the predictions.
Pittsburgh Knights (1.57)
Pittsburgh Knights have not enjoyed a great start to this Six Masters season so far. They have lost three of their four games to date, which means they’ve lost one and split one series so far. Their combined aggregate score so far is 19-26 in rounds played. In the previous week, they challenged Sinister in one game but fell agonisingly short 8-7. In the series preceding that, they even took a game off Team Ferox, their only win of the season so far.
That’s not a great, albeit short, history this season so far. However, there is one team with a worse record than them: Kanga Esports. Kanga Esports have lost all their four games so far and have won just 15 of 44 rounds during this Six Masters. In terms of confidence, Pittsburgh Knights can at least take spirit from their fight in defeat. I can’t say the same for the struggling Kanga Esports.
Tbd have been in solid form right through this season. They have won three of four games, winning one (against Kanga) and drawing (against LFO) their other series. They have played 51 rounds so far, and have won 29 of those. As a result, they are now positioned third in the standings with the top two at stake. They were beaten in a thriller 8-7 against LFO before storming back to crush them 7-4 in the second matchup.
Their opponents have not managed to gather any fluency or momentum going into this round of games. They have lost three of four games to date, which won’t do much for their mood. They have won 23 of 48 rounds, slightly below 50%. This is going to be a tough game against one of the in-form teams in the Six Masters and the odds are a fair indicator of that. I’d go for Tbd to complete the 2-0 sweep on Tuesday.
