The OGA Dota PIT 2020 Online series have recently finished with a surprising outcome from the winning roster. Team Secret landed the top spot after defeating Team Liquid in their final game. They had crushed Liquid’s roster with a 3-0 score. However, what’s more amazing about Secret’s run was that they managed to keep a perfect score in the entirety of the OGA Dota PIT series. No other team had managed to stand in their way. Team Secret have been showing incredible performance in the Dota 2 scene. In the last 100 matches, they have managed to win 82 of their matches, losing only 18. This put Secret in the top spot among the other current Dota 2 teams in the scene. In the past, only two other teams had surpassed this score. Alliance’s Dota 2 roster in 2013, and Newbee in 2016 had 83 wins and 17 losses in their record seasons. To get the same record as these two teams, Secret still needs to take down seven other rosters without losing any match. From that point, it would only take them two more matches to set a new record.

Team Liquid vs Team Secret

The grand final match between Team Secret and Team Liquid was a fairly short one. There was little resistance on Liquid’s side, making the other side advance towards their core with ease. Secret had quickly finished them off under half an hour on two of the matches. There was a little heat only in one match where Liquid tried to fight them off, but failed in their attempts at the end. Lasse Aukusti “MATUMBAMAN” Urpalainen and Michał “Nisha” Jankowski have been the top players during the match against Liquid. They totalled five deaths at the very end of the best of 5 series. Both Nisha and MATUMBAMAN were putting constant pressure on Liquid. Combined with Clement “Puppey” Ivanov and Yazied “YapzOr” Jaradat, Secret had a perfect draft that gave no breathing room to the other side. Ultimately, Secret left each one of the matches victorious, finishing the entire OGA DOTA 2020 PIT Online series with a flawless score.

PIT winners

In an event that started with great promise for the likes of Alliance, Ninjas in Pyjamas, and OG, we’ve ultimately seen Team Secret’s dominance continue. The European team took apart all of their opponents piece by piece. What’s more, they did so with almost no signs of weakness, taking home $62,000 in the process. Team Liquid, on the other hand, is left with second place and a still-respectable $32,000 in prize money. This squad showed signs of brilliance and tenacity, turning around an event that had very much gone sour for them in the beginning. Yet still, it wasn’t enough to topple Team Secret.

Tournament Dominance

Team Secret have now added yet another Dota 2 series in their win streak. They had placed first at WePlay! Pushka League S1: Division 1 recently. They had also finished Gamers Without Borders 2020 in the top spot. They’ll be looking to continue their streak at ESL One Birmingham 2020, which started a few days ago. It’s a much bigger tournament than the previous three and they will need to face the best teams in Europe and CIS once again. But they’ll be going into the tournament as the red-hot favourites, and nobody would be surprised if their streak continues.
