Evil Geniuses confirm the signing of oBo on a free transfer
Evil Geniuses have secured the signing of Owen “oBo” Schlatter, who has been a free agent after leaving Complexity in September. oBo will be replacing Ethan “Ethan” Arnold, who recently left Evil Geniuses to pursue a career in Valorant.
oBo has been out of action for roughly half a year since his controversial move away from Complexity in September of 2020. The young American opted to step down and move back to the United States in the middle of Complexity’s ESL Pro League campaign, leaving the team without a fifth just days before the playoffs.
Initially, oBo appeared to be set on staying in North America, but he has since confirmed that he is open to lengthier stays in Europe after six months on the sidelines.
Throughout his time on Complexity, oBo posted a rating of 1.10 in all matches, helping his team to a first-place finish at BLAST Premier Spring 2020 Europe. An impressive performance for the rookie, who was only 16-years old when Complexity secured their first trophy.
oBo is set to make his official debut for the team in ESL Pro League starting March 25th, where Evil Geniuses have been drawn in a group which includes Astralis, Liquid, Virtus.pro, fnatic and Endpoint.
With the addition of oBo, Evil Geniuses look as follows:
