Dominus Esports v JD Gaming

Map handicap: JD Gaming -1.5 (1.25)

These may not be tempting odds to back a team to win without dropping a map. However, the difference in quality between these two teams is far too much. JD Gaming have started the season with one win in three series, which is well below their expected returns for a team of their calibre. Dominus Esports are currently languishing at the bottom of the table with a 0-4 record. Dominus Esports are also still to win a map in eight games. Considering JD Gaming would want to take this opportunity, I see Dominus’ poor season continuing.

Bot laner Loken has led the offensive production for JD Gaming this season. He has managed 3.29 kills per game along with 5 assists and 2.43 deaths, giving him a KDA of 3.41 and a CSPM of 9.18. JD Gaming have even received good aggressive metrics from Zoom (2.43 kills), Yagao (2.86 kills) and Kanavi (2 kills). In seven games, Yagao has the best all-round numbers with a KDA of 3.6.

LGD Gaming v Invictus Gaming

Invictus Gaming (1.51)

After a loss to start the season, Invictus Gaming have quickly found their fluency and momentum to add three successive wins, carrying them to 3-1 for the season and up to fourth on the table. Out of the nine maps they’ve played so far, Invictus have won six. They have been one of the best teams in the LPL over a long duration of time as well. LGD Gaming have started the summer season well, with an identical series record as Invictus Gaming. However, there is a difference in class and quality, which might be too hard to surpass with just form. This might go to three maps but I see Invictus Gaming coming away with the win in any case.

Rookie and Puff have been sensational to start this season. Rookie has racked up more kills, averaging 4.44 per game. He has a KDA of 5.25. Puff has better all-round stats though. He has 3.44 kills but just 1.33 deaths per game, taking his KDA to 5.58 with a creep score per minute of close to 10.
