Invictus Gaming will play their first game of the summer split on Thursday. Estar will open the day’s action with their series against Dominus Esports. We take a look at predictions for these two games below.
Estar will have plenty of work to do after the departure of their star player Cryin. That massive void in their game will be filled by their new mid laner Fenfen. Despite that loss, Estar are a fantastic team, capable of beating the best teams in China. In fact, they were sitting atop the LPL for a long period in the spring split. They will need to find a way to repeat that dominance with a new-look roster. They won 11 of 16 series in the spring split. They already began this season with a loss so they will be desperate to open their summer account.
Wink will undeniably have to step up in Cryin’s absence. Wink is coming off a fine performance in the spring split, in which he had 4.76 kills per game and more than seven assists too. Jungler Wei and ShiauC dominated the assists charts in spring. They went one and two respectively on that list. They will need Fenfen to find his feet quickly, which should happen as soon as Thursday against Dominus Esports.
Invictus Gaming (1.48)
Invictus Gaming finished the spring split at the top of the table. They are one of the best teams in the country, as was evidenced from their display in the previous campaign. They won 14 of 16 series in a sensational run of form. They lost just 11 of 39 games too. After the Mid-Season Cup, they will be looking to start their summer season in sprightly form. Team WE aren’t a bad team but it’s hard to see this Invictus Gaming slip up after a fair bit of rest and time away from the game.
Puff is easily Invictus Gaming’s most important player, at least offensively. He averaged well over 5 kills per game in the spring split. He also had a kill participation rate of well over 10 along with a creep score per minute of 9.2. Rookie, Southwind and TheShy will also be crucial players in this split if they are to come close to repeating their spring pyrotechnics this season.
