After a stunning loss to Suning in the spring opener, Top Esports will be looking for a quick turnaround when they face Rogue Warriors on Tuesday.
Here is a look at some prop bets to consider for your Picklebet bet slip.
Map handicap: FunPlus Phoenix -1.5 (1.52)
FunPlus Phoenix have retained the majority of their roster after a successful 2020. In the spring split last year, FunPlus Phoenix finished with a 12-4 series record before going 9-7 in summer. They made the playoffs in both splits, an indicator of the consistency they have achieved with this roster. Oh My God aren’t quite on the same wavelength as FunPlus Phoenix. They opened the spring season with a 1-2 loss, which will further dampen their confidence. FunPlus Phoenix are too strong, at least on paper, not to win without dropping a map.
FunPlus had one of the most successful mid-bot laner combinations in the LPL last year with Doinb in the middle lane and Lwx as AD Carry. Their combined kill count stayed consistent through the year, providing FunPlus with enough offense in more than half of Summoner’s Rift. Nuguri and Tian will further bolster their roster in the top lane and jungle respectively this season.
1st map – 1st baron: Top Esports (1.29)
This prop bet is based on the numbers. For starters, Top Esports are far too strong in this game, even though they started spring with a shocking straight-map loss. In League of Legends, it’s extremely rare for a team to take the baron and lose the map. It happens if there is a steal but not very often. The odds for Top Esports to win the first map on Picklebet is 1.14. By picking Top to take the baron, probably after reaching soul point after slaying three elemental dragons, you get the higher payout. If you’re looking for a safer pick, then Top Esports to win the map is your best bet.
Even though Top dominated the middle lane with Knight in the opener, they were let down by JackeyLove in the bottom lane. However, he should return back to his usual aggressive best against Rogue Warriors. 369 was also ineffective in the top lane, registering no kills against Suning. Along with Karsa in the jungle, you would expect Top Esports to be too strong in this contest.
