Victory Five v Team WE

Map handicap: Team WE -1.5 (1.33)

Team WE are far too good for Victory Five in this matchup. Team WE, like JD Gaming or FunPlus Phoenix, have been one of the most consistent teams in the LPL for a while now. They have started with two wins out of two matches to begin summer. They needed three maps but came away with a strong win against Suning in their previous game as well. Victory Five lost their first match of the split. Apart from the gulf in momentum, there is a personnel mismatch, which should result in a win for Team WE without dropping a map.

Breathe and Elk have been in sensational killing form for Team WE this season to date. They have averaged 5.8 and 5.2 kills per game respectively. Elk has a kill participation of 11 and a death rate of just 1.2, which gives him a KDA of 10. Missing is leading the team in assists, with 11.4 per map on average. It’s hard to see Victory Five matching up with this level of skill across the lanes.

Bilibili Gaming v LGD Gaming

Total maps: Over 2.5 (2.01)

The odds for this match are a bit off. Bilibili Gaming, who have lost both their matches in summer so far, start off as heavy favourites against a team that has split their two matches to date. Even though Bilibili Gaming appear stronger on paper, that might not be the case in Summoner’s Rift. When a matchup is as tight as this, there is always an opportunity to back both teams to win a map to take the total over 2.5. Also, the odds of 2.01 for that outcome is extremely good considering the likelihood of this result.

Zeka has led the offensive production for Bilibili Gaming this season with an average of 2.67 kills per game along with 3.5 assists. Weiwei is the only other player from Bilibili to average more than two kills per map. For LGD Gaming, Kramer has been unstoppable with an average of 6.6 kills per game.
