Team SoloMid v 100 Thieves

Team SoloMid (1.68)

TSM have made a typically sprightly start to the new split. They have won all of their first three games to move quickly to 3-0 for the season. This rapid start is on the back of a solid end to spring as well. There is just too much skill, confidence and momentum in this TSM team going into the new weekend of LCS action. 100 Thieves have begun with two wins and a loss, which isn’t bad. However, how exactly will they match up with TSM in the lanes remains to be seen.

Lost has averaged 4.33 kills per game through the early part of this season. Spica and PowerOfEvil have both added 4 kills apiece as well. Even though the sample size is relatively small, it just shows us how much depth is there in this TSM offense. From a defensive standpoint, Huni has been killed the most, with an average of 3.67 deaths a game. That is an avenue 100 Thieves can target, but it’s easier said than done against one of the best teams in North America.

Golden Guardians v Counter Logic Gaming

Golden Guardians (2.29)

Golden Guardians started the season with one win and two losses in the opening weekend. That is reflective of how the team has struggled over the previous few splits. They will have an opportunity to return to parity when they face a Counter Logic Gaming that started with three losses. If confidence and momentum are influential factors in this game, you would expect Golden Guardians to have the edge. Also, these odds for a matchup that is as even as this is compelling enough as a reason to back the underdog.

Ablazeolive started the season with a bang, putting up an average of five kills per map. That helped him begin with a team-leading KDA of 2.6. Chime had nine assists per map. However, all five of Golden Guardians’ players were killed at least three times per game, which is a problem.
