Schalke 04 v Fnatic

Fnatic (1.36)

Fnatic started the summer split of the LEC with two straight losses. They have put that slow start quickly behind them and have now raced to second on the LEC table with five straight wins to move to 5-2 for the season. That run is expected to continue against a Schalke 04 team that has struggled from the outset. In fact, Schalke have a 2-5 record and are on a three-match losing streak in the LEC. That has pushed them down to seventh on the table. Leaving out the discernible personnel advantage that Fnatic have, they also have clear advantages in skill, confidence and form.

Personnel

Upset has been in sensational killing form in the LEC this season. He has averaged 5.14 kills per game along with 7 assists to earn himself a KDA of 7.73. He also has a team-leading creep score of 309. Upset has received good kill support from Adam (4.29 kills per map) and Bwipo (4.14 kills per map). This level of offensive production is hard to keep away for Schalke 04, especially during team fights.

G2 Esports v Excel Esports

G2 Esports (1.17)

Odds of 1.17 isn’t exactly compelling but it is a very likely result, allowing you to club G2 with another bet, possible with Fnatic to increase betting returns. G2 Esports will be desperate for a win after losing their last two matches. They are now fourth in the LEC with a 4-3 season record, and will be keen to end this losing run on Friday. Excel Esports are currently joint seventh in the LEC with a 2-5 record. It’s hard to see how Excel will match up in the lanes against a dynamic, aggressive team like G2 Esports. My guess is they don’t do that well, resulting in a loss under 35 minutes.

Personnel

Rekkles has continued his fine form in summer. He has 4.71 kills per game in this split along with 4.5 assists. He has kept his death rate to just 1.43, which has pushed his KDA to 6.5, comfortably the highest for G2 in summer. Caps and Jankos have combined beautifully to produce a combined 7 kills among them as well.
