The LEC returns this weekend with another packed schedule, starting Friday. We take a look at two matches for you to consider on Picklebet.
Excel Esports (2.95)
Misfits started this split of the LEC with aplomb but they have since lost a bit of power and form. They have lost their last two matches to fall to 7-4 for the season. While they are still third in the LEC, they have lost some momentum. Excel Esports are a tricky opponent to come up against when a team is not quite at their best form. Excel have also lost two matches on the bounce and are 4-7 for the season. However, if Excel can win one crucial team fight prior to the spawning of a dragon or baron, anything can happen.
Nukeduck has been Excel’s most proficient player, putting up 3.18 kills, 2.09 deaths and 4.82 assists with a KDA of 3.83, highest in Excel. That is where the team’s problems lie because they need a lot more production and effectiveness while defending. Patrik has chipped in with a decent kill participation (2.64 kills and 5 assists per map).
Fnatic have soared to the top of the LEC table and rightly so. They have also won their last three matches to climb to 8-3 for the season, a win tally that no other team has reached yet in summer, apart from Rogue. Fnatic have made fantastic progress after losing their star bot laner Rekkles to G2. Astralis are no pushovers but might not match up well with this powerful offense of Fnatic in the lanes. Astralis are currently sixth with a 5-6 record. Based on influential betting factors like form, confidence, fluency, offensive and defensive effectiveness, Fnatic seem to be too strong for Astralis.
Upset has been the standout performer for Fnatic this season. He has produced 5.18 kills, 1.27 deaths and 6.73 assists with a KDA of 9.36. He also has a creep score of 316, leading Fnatic in that metric. He has received support from Nisqy and Adam. Both of them have a kill participation of over 10, which has helped Fnatic stay too powerful in the lanes. Bwipo and Hylissang have averaged 9.45 and 10.82 assists respectively so far. Good luck to Astralis in trying to stave off these five at the same time.
