The playoffs of the LEC continue on Friday, with G2, Fnatic and Mad Lions in action. We take a look at some considerations for your bet slip from the two games.
Mad Lions (1.72)
Mad Lions were one of the best teams in the regular season of the LEC. They were definitely one of the most explosive teams, from an aggressive standpoint. They finished with a 12-6 record, eventually managing second position in the LEC standings. Schalke, on the other hand, were a bit inconsistent, winning just 8 of 18 games as they finished sixth on the table. They finished that season with seven straight wins, but on paper, Mad Lions are a bit too strong for Schalke.
Humanoid led the production for Mad Lions. He finished the regular season with an impressive 4.39 kills per game. He also had 5.5 assists per map. However, Carzzy has the best KDA in Mad Lions (3.06 kills, 1.94 deaths and 6.72 assists, giving him a KDA of 5.03). Orome and Shadow also chipped in with more than 2.5 kills per game apiece.
G2 Esports (1.35)
G2 have finally found their rhythm again. They will look back at that fantastic come-from-behind win against Rogue in the regular season as the turning point. They used that win to rack up six straight wins as they finished third on the LEC table with an 11-7 record. They blazed past Mad Lions in the previous game as well. G2 have been one of the most consistent teams in the LEC for a while now. That is unlikely to change now that they’ve finally mustered up some momentum.
Caps has been G2’s best player in summer. Despite a poor record in the first half of the season, it was Caps that had found some stability, helping G2 stay relevant. He had 4.78 kills along with 5.28 assists per game in the regular season. He had the team’s best KDA (4.76) as well. Perkz regained some of his lost fluency towards the end of the season, helping out immensely in the bottom lane, which turned the dynamics of this team. Jankos will be a key player in the jungle in this game too.
