Hanwha Life Esports v Nongshim RedForce

Total maps: Over 3.5 (1.61)

Hanwha Life Esports are a strong outfit, capable of beating any LCK team. They finished the regular season with a 12-6 record, third in the LCK. They outperformed their expected finish by a few wins. Despite that stellar record, the odds are skewed too heavily in favour of Hanwha. Nongshim RedForce finished the regular season with a 7-11 record, sixth in the LCK. They had their moments but couldn’t quite manage sustained excellence. Still, there is enough in that roster to suggest that they could win a map here and take the total over 3.5 maps.

Personnel

Deokdam has been in terrific form right through this spring split. He has managed 4.36 kills per game along with 3.36 assists, carrying his impressive KDA to 3.64. He even has a creep score of over 300, which improves his effectiveness in Summoner’s Rift. Peanut has done well too, chipping in with close to three kills at a KDA of well over 3. Impressively, Nongshim have used exactly five players right through this spring split.

T1 v DRX

Correct score (in maps): 3-0 to T1 (2.06)

Don’t discount the consistency and spirit of a team like DRX in games like these, but it’s also possible that when the favoured team gets on a run, it’s incredibly hard to stop them. For example, T1 won five straight matches to end the regular season at fourth spot with an 11-7 record. On the other hand, DRX lost five straight matches to fall dramatically to fifth on the table with a 9-9 record. That difference in confidence and momentum is the major reason I’m backing T1 to win the first map and then set the tone for the rest of the match.

Personnel

T1 have not quite found too much consistency with respect to personnel used. They had used a total of 10 players through the regular season. Teddy has been their standout performer, producing a stunning 5.09 kills along with 6.35 assists at a KDA of 5.84. Keria is the only player to have played all games so far for T1.
