DWG Kia vs T1

DWG Kia (1.36)

At one point during the regular season, DWG Kia were not at the top of the table. Considering their unparalleled and unprecedented depth in the league, that is quite unfathomable. That changed quickly and they eventually finished at the top of the summer standings with a 12-6 record. On account of finishing there, they didn’t have much hassle in the playoffs. They beat Nongshim Redforce 3-0 to advance rather comfortably to the final of this LCK season. That confidence and momentum should help them stay winners of the LCK.

Total: Over 3.5 (1.40)

While I think DWG Kia are simply too strong in the lanes, there is a sense that T1 will not be pushed over, especially with Faker in their ranks. T1 have enough depth and consistency to make a strong DWG Kia work hard for their team fights. T1 should win one map but not more and take the total over.

Personnel

DWG Kia have been blessed to have ShowMaker performing at high intensity and productivity consistently. That is extremely hard to do. He has produced 3.67 kills along with 5.74 assists per map with a death rate of 1.6 to lift his KDA to 5.87. He has been one of the primary reasons for DWG Kia’s success this season. Khan, Canyon and Ghost have all chipped in with three or close to three kills per map to give ShowMaker able support in the lanes.

What was said?

“This is our third consecutive finals in a row, so we’ll do our best to make it our third consecutive championship win,” ShowMaker said. “Every championship finals are important, but because we’ve been through a lot this split, and the fact that it’ll be the team’s 3rd consecutive victory, this split’s finals hold a lot of meaning. I thought it would help the team if I play in the bot lane, rather than thinking it would help me. I don’t think there were any big experiences this season that would help my career.”
