The Pro League’s top-two teams are in action in Friday’s scheduled games. We examine how to handle the markets and handicaps from three LPL matches.
1st map winner: Edward Gaming (1.28)
Edward Gaming have been one of the most consistent teams in this LPL split. That has reflected in their position in the LPL standings: they are currently seventh in the standings with a 5-4 series and 13-11 games record. Dominus, on the other hand, are struggling at 15th on the table. Expect Edward Gaming to come out aggressively and take the first map without much trouble.
Hope has been Edward Gaming’s star, without a doubt. He is averaging 4.75 kills per game and just 1.21 deaths, sensational numbers by any standards. He has been assisted well by Scout, who has a KDA of 4.83.
Map handicap: Invictus Gaming -1.5 (1.18)
This isn’t much of a matchup. Invictus have been one of the best teams this season. They have an 8-1 series record along with a 16-5 games record, with a 76% win percentage in their games. Almost diametrically opposite, Victory Five are last in the LPL with a 0-10 record. In 21 games, they have won just one map!
Puff has been the standout player, not just for Invictus but in the entire LPL. He is averaging 5.52 kills and 2.52 deaths per game. These offensive numbers have led Invictus up the table. Southwind as a Support player and TheShy as Invictus’ top laner have carried out their roles extremely efficiently.
Royal Never Give Up have been quite solid this season, winning six of their nine matches so far. That has pushed them to fourth in the table. However, Estar have dominated the entire LPL this split. They are on the top of the table with a 9-2 series record, along with a 19-8 games record. This efficiency will be hard to beat, even for a consistent RNG team.
Wink and Cryin have led the way offensively for Estar. Wink has the best kill rate with 5.88 kills, while Cryin has the second-best kill rate with 5.58 kills. Both players average under two deaths per game and over eight assists as well. They have been the two best players in the LPL right through this split.
