The spring editions of League of Legends competitions in China and Korea are in full swing. We take a look at some picks to consider from Friday morning’s action from the LPL and the LCK.
FunPlus Phoenix (1.18)
FunPlus Phoenix have been a solid team this split. Not just steady, they have also competed against the best through a strong mid-ADC combination. Now, they’ve jumped to second on the LPL standings with an 8-2 series record. In terms of games, they have a win percentage of 72% and are also on an eight-game winning streak.
Doinb and Lwx have been splendid for FunPlus this split. Doinb is averaging 4.85 kills as their mid laner, while Lwx is not far behind, currently at 4.41 kills per game. They have received solid support from GimGoon and Tian as well.
Dominus Esports (1.29)
Dominus Esports are 16th in the LPL standings, with a 3-9 series record. As bad as that is, there is another team that is much worse. Victory Five have won just one map through this split with a win percentage of 4%. They are yet to win a series. Dominus are well positioned to capitalise on that.
Natural is Dominus Esports’ offensive leader, averaging 3.16. He also has a creep score per minute of 8.32 and a KDA of 2.42. He will need to step up to help Dominus register their fourth win of the season.
T1 have been one of the most consistent teams in the LCK during this spring split. That is evident from their high winning percentages. In matches, they have a 12-3 record. During those matches, they have won 26 of 38 maps. That has put them second in the LCK standings. Even though they will face a tricky opponent in KT Rolster, I’d expect T1 to use their depth and experience to put in another solid performance.
Teddy has been a killing machine in the LCK. He is averaging 4.31 kills so far, highest for any player to have played at least 25 games in the spring split. His has a creep score per minute of 10.66, highest in the LCK. He also has 465 gold per minute, second highest in the split.
