Huni moves to Evil Geniuses

LCS team Evil Geniuses have acquired top laner Heo “Huni” Seung-hoon from Dignitas. With Dignitas, Huni signed a contract that saw him being paid USD 2.3 million in a two-year deal. Evil Geniuses finished the spring split of the LCS second in the regular season and third in the playoffs.

It is understood that the terms of his contract with Evil Geniuses will not be the same as that deal with Dignitas. Huni was the second-highest paid player in the LCS after Liquid’s top laner Jung “Impact” Eon-yeong. Dignitas replaced Huni by signing Omran “V1per” Shoura from FlyQuest. This trade comes days after Dignitas also signed Dardoch from TSM.

Dignitas acquire Dardoch

Dignitas have signed jungler Joshua “Dardoch” Hartnett from TSM. Dardoch will replace Jonathan “Grig” Armao. Dardoch will take part in the upcoming summer split of the League of Legends Championship Series for Dignitas. Dardoch has bounced around the professional League of Legends scene over his six-year career. Dignitas will be his 14th team. He has previously also played for Immortals, Counter Logic Gaming, Echo Fox, Liquid, OpTic Gaming and Team SoloMid.

According to an ESPN report, “Team SoloMid president Leena Xu was overheard during a Twitch broadcast by her boyfriend, SoloMid AD Carry Yiliang “Doublelift” Peng, stating on a separate phone call that “no one wants to pick up” Dardoch.”

Since the end of our Spring Split playoffs run, we’ve been working with Dardoch on the possibility of him splitting time/moving to academy however he expressed interest in joining another team for a full time starting spot,” Xu later said in a Twitlonger post. “Over the last month, we put our best efforts forward to finding him a new team.”
