The first ever tournament win for the young Dota 2 organization Tundra, came in the just right time. Right before The International and right before the new Dota 2 season starts afterwards, they’ve taken their first championship ever. ESL One Fall 2021 as a tier 1 event and tournament is a perfect start for them if they want to do something similar in the near future.

By taking down mighty PSG.LGD in a narrow 3-2 series, they’ve made this grand final very entertaining in 5 back and forth games. With only 1 loss vs VirtusPro in the group stage, they’ve made it to the playoff bracket. There, they’ve won 3 straight matches throughout the upper bracket to win the championship. One of those teams was VirtusPro, a team that Tundra did revenge on by taking them 2-0 in the upper bracket finals.

Tundra won’t participate in The International, but they will prepare for the new Dota 2 season instead with the new championship belt on them.
