In the lack of tier 1 and tier 2 Dota 2 matches we are focusing on smaller tournaments and teams fighting it out to their way to potential higher tier tournaments with better prizes and Minor qualifier spots.
Handicap Typhoon 1.5 (1.55)
SAG has a 6-0 (map wins) score, while Typhoon is 6-3 with one match more. SAG has played 3 matches (3-0), while Typhoon has played 4 matches (3-1). These teams are currently ranked 2nd and 3rd in the group stage. Those teams are fairly unstable, which means their lineups change through the season. Basically this league just started and I think we will see a lot of surprises. My thoughts are that Typhoon has better players overall, and I think they will likely utilize that. I believe there is a great value in betting on Typhoon 1.5 handicap, which means they need to take at least 1 map from this BO3 series, which is highly possible.
Vici Gaming Potential is ranked last place in the group stage, with 0-6 (map wins). They lost 0-2 vs 3 teams from the middle of the table. Typhoon is currently the 3rd ranked team in the group stage and they are much more highly experienced with a better lineup overall. I would go with the safe Typhoon bet here, with ok-ish 1.28 odds. If you are more adventurous go with 2-0 for Typhoon with amazing 1.93 odds.
Over 2.5 (1.92)
First match for both teams in this phase 2 group stage. Viking.gg are slight favourites to take this BO3 match, but I believe Wind and Rain has better players overall on the paper. I think this match can go into map 3, so there is a high value in betting on Over 2.5. Viking showed some good games in Bukovel Minor qualifiers and in DreamLeague qualifiers too. It will be interesting to see how teams have prepared or adjusted to the new big Dota 2 patch. This is little higher level then chinese matches that we discussed above.
