For the end of the week, let’s briefly run through the most interesting matches of the day. Once again we are following Pinnacle Cup and final series in the EU/CIS DPC Season 2.
Vikin.gg @ 1.40
In their only series last month, Vikin.gg took the 2-1 victory over Level UP. Level UP has their own glimpses of brilliance, but that’s all. I don’t think they can’t be a threat even to a Vikin.gg in bad form. With this win, Vikin.gg can secure top 4, and Level UP is playing for the limited chances in the playoffs. Vikin.gg are on a 2 match winning streak, while Level UP are on a 3 match losing streak. If you can find those or similar odds, it’s a good 5 unit bet here.
Team Spirit -1.5 @ 1.61
This may be a hard series, but Team Spirit has been on fire in recent days. 4 matches, 4 wins, 8-0 in maps. On the other hand Team Spirit did never beat Chicken Fighters, and they played 2 times, last year. Can they break the curse today? I do think so, their level of Dota is incomparable to Chicken Fighters right now. This will be the battle of 1st and 2nd in the table and it could be very interesting. I predict 2-0 or 2-1 for Spirit, but I slightly more like Team Spirit -1.5 handicap rather than CF +1.5 handicap here, just because of the win probability.
Team Unique +1.5 @ 1.87
This bet is a big risk, but odds are so juicy. In their only series this year, in February Gambit celebrated their win against Unique. I do believe this will happen again today, but the exact score is the problem here. Gambit are one of the squads from the CIS region that I fancy a lot, but they still didn’t cross that line that they need to put themselves into favourite spot, at least on the CIS scene. They are playing better and better lately and with 2 straight wins vs PuckChamp and EXTREMUM, they showed that they can do it. Unique is solid too, but sometimes they lack consistency. They won against NaVi and Brame, and on the second day they lost against PuckChamp or Chicken Fighters. This is a very open match, 3 maps are highly possible.
HellRaisers @ 1.45
Who would have thought that EXTREMUM and HellRaisers here would battle for 3rd place in the rankings. EXTREMUM is on 4 wins out of 7 matches, while HellRaisers are on 5 wins out of 7 matches. HR are looking like a solid stack right now, even if they are not ready yet to fight the strongest teams in the CIS for example. However, EXTREMUM is a team that HR can fight easily. It’s their level, and they must be confident here in this series. EXTREMUM are knocked down after their last 2 losses, while HellRaisers must feel confident with their last wins vs Level UP and Hellbear Smashers.
NaVi -1.5 @ 1.70
Interestingly enough, this will be their first series of the year. NaVi looks good on paper, heavy favourites, but PuckChamp is not an easy team to beat. Few days ago they beat Vikin.gg 2-1, which is a pretty strong result for them. As NaVi is not in their prime form, this could be an interesting match if they let their guard down. NaVi’s last series was a 1-2 vs Team Unique, which showed all their weaknesses. However, I do think that their scary lineup can’t fail now, as the stakes are too high, qualifying for Major. NaVi is capable of 2-0’ing PuckChamp here.
